“Be Kind Rewind” Sweded Films

Alright, so it took me a while to get around to seeing Be Kind Rewind. It actually wound up to be quite a bit better than I was expecting. Anyway, during the credits they claim the “Sweded” films featured in the movie were available at bekindrewind-themovie.com. They’re not, but after digging around some I did find a YouTube channel sponsored by the movie.

The purpose of the YouTube channel is a contest to submit your own “Sweded” movies as part of a contest. The contest has long since ended, but you can check out some of the entrants, like this version of “The Shining.”

    The movie had already been out for a while by the time I’d gotten around to seeing it, so I was a little surprised the YouTube channel was still around then. They must have finally officially shut it down.
