• JavaRa: update Java and remove old versions – I’ve always been irritated that Java (which seems to be mostly dead as a end-user compatibility layer anyway) continues to add version after version instead of just updating the existing. Perhaps this will help.

Lifehacker notes that Songbird finally hits version 1.0. It’s compatible with iPod and iTMS DRM’d songs. Also good to go with the Plays-for-Sure stuff. No love for Zune though.

If you like Firefox, chances are you’ll find something to love about Songbird as well.
