- Santogold Is Now Santigold | Pitchfork – Santogold was Santi White, the Brooklyn-based pop singer who made one of last year’s best albums and who is just now starting to pop up on A-list rap songs. Santo Gold, on the other hand, is Santo Rigatuso, the Baltimore-based jeweler/filmmaker/huckster who made this infomercial and the no-budget 1985 aliens-fighting-wrestlers movie Blood Circus. You can see how just about anyone would get these two confused, right? I mean, they’re basically the same person.
