Type O Negative and a pretty picture (no, not the cover of “Bloody Kisses”)
So we have a little lot on a little lake over in Wisconsin. The lot is on a road called Western Breeze. Upon seeing the street sign, a friend of mine sang “Western Breeze…” to the tune of Summer Breeze (as made famous by Seals & Croft). It freaked me out until I realized those weren’t the right lyrics and the street name hadn’t actually been ruined forever for me.
Although, I do still think of the song now and again, but for some reason, the Type O Negative version (embedded above) is the version that always pops to mind.
Ah, and as for the “pretty picture,” I took that this past weekend very near the aforementioned Western Breeze Road. Thought it paired well with the tune, like boxed Merlot and a Kit-Kat bar.
