“We asked for Mojo Nixon, they said ‘He don’t work here’”

Prior to hearing Mojo Nixon’s Don Henley Must Die that I posted yesterday, my only exposure to him (them?) was the reference in The Dead Milkmen’s Punk Rock Girl.

I never really understood the fear of the punk movement. Sure, some of the punk bands were pissed off, and shouting crazy stuff, but most of the punk bands were just playing sloppy party songs. Bob Dylan was probably a more effective agitator than any punk band ever was.
