Not sure if it’s a regular thing, or one-time only, but it sounds intriguing…

I was just having a conversation the other night about reaching my maximum capacity for Apple related enthusiasm. Yeah, ok, their stuff is fine, but it’s really much more evolutionary than revolutionary.
In an attempt to balance the scales a bit, I offer this counterpoint that popped up on CrackBerry.com yesterday. Beware, there’s some language you probably don’t want pumped outside of your cube for all the world to hear.

Wanna experience something closely approximating Metallica without any Gallagher aspects blended in? You’re in luck. ONE: A Tribute to Metallica is playing a couple shows this weekend.
From Metromix.com:
Well, Metallica may not currently be making the kind of music that made them famous, but you can still rock out to all the greatest hits you crave. If you squint just slightly, you might see who you think is Lars Ulrich and his band mates. But there is no need to strain your ears to hear what you’re craving; the sound is pretty darn close. ONE: A Tribute to Metallica hails as “the only authentic” Metallica tribute band (maybe they can say that, a few band members have actually played with their namesake). Unlike many other tribute bands, ONE focuses explicitly on the audio and visual aspects of live Metallica, and strives for duplication in both areas. They are able to perform countless songs that range from garage days all the way through the height of their fame and music presence. The stage show they put on closely resembles the spectacle Metallica once was from the 80′s and 90′s.They’re playing back-to-back gigs this weekend in St. Paul (with Toxicity) and Fridley (with Dust ‘N Bones), so there’s no excuse to miss seeing their performance.
My question though is when will Beatallica make it to town?

About 2 months since Creepyskullbadwig (aka Michael Jackson) has died, and I still don’t care.
Victory (or at least chicken-fried bacon) is mine! So it’s not all I was hoping, but certainly better than I’d feared. Mmm… sausage gravy.
Will tonight be the night I finally get my chicken-fried bacon? My fingers are crossed!
