“Quarantine” is pants crappeningly effective until the last 2 seconds
What was wrong with The Blair Witch Project? No one could figure out why, despite great horror, they continued to film the horror that fell upon them. Quarantine pretty much fixed that nag, and also doesn’t have any up-the-running-nose crying confessions. I don’t see all that many flix in the theater but I do wish I’d caught this there as I think the big screen could have really added to the mood. The last two seconds is disappointing for reasons I won’t reveal here for fear of spoiling anything for those who haven’t seen it though.
If “those who haven’t seen it” includes you, you should check it out. It’s available via Netflix‘s watch instantly streaming service currently.
Oh, although if you’ve seen [rec] you’ve apparently seen Quarantine as the latter was based on the former.
