Le Cirque Rouge Holiday Show 12/18 in Minneapolis
Looking for a naughty Christmas? Think this might have you covered.
From Metromix:
Le Cirque Rouge Holiday Extravaganza will showcase non-traditional versions (to say the least) of traditional Christmas tunes this weekend at the 501 Club (Friday, Dec. 18, 2009). It’s the 7th annual show and will feature Victoria Vaughn as a knocked-up Santa Claus who gives new meaning to the song, “Santa Baby;” a very Bad Santa portrayed by singer John Eric Theide; jazz ditties from Amy Buchanan and Chrystal Canary; and so many dancing numbers from favorite burlesque beauties Tomahawk Tassels, Buttercup and Miss Fanny May.
Expect sexy retro lingerie, unholy high kicks and holiday-themed pasties covering the, err, Christmas cookies. Good Christians beware—Le Cirque Rouge’s racy renditions of your favorite carols will send you straight to the confessional on Christmas Day and every day following. Still, it’s not too late to get yourself on the naughty list this year. You don’t need that Nintendo Wiii anyway.
All of Le Cirque Rouge’s shows are known for their energy and talent, with regular appearances at local establishments like Nick & Eddie, 331 Club and more. Amy Buchanan, self-titled Disorganizer and Ringleader of Le Cirque Rouge burlesque troupe, assured me that there are going to be some really sweet surprises from the girls too. Maybe even a dog?
The 501 Club is expected to sell out for the event, so come early for a good view of the sexpot stage shenanigans. The baby Jesus might have been wrapped in swaddling clothes, but these nice ladies certainly will not be.
