Thursday Shuffle – Week 3

- Image via Wikipedia
Yeah, I know it’s not Thursday, but it’s Friday, and Friday is pretty cool so I’ll drop it if you do.
Brought to you this week for your listening enjoyment:
- Down in It by Nine Inch Nails
- William, It Was Really Nothing by The Smiths
- West End Girls by Pet Shop Boys
- Getting Better by The Beatles
- Strib Nicht Vor Mir by Mammstein
Songs not brought to you this week as they were not available from Grooveshark:
- D85 by B12
- Clearcut by Slot
- Exploder by Breadwinner
On an amusing related note, “Strib Nicht Vor Mir” translates to “Don’t Die Before Me,” “Strib” specifically translating to “Die.” Why is this amusing, if only in a sad way? The local paper here in Minneapolis is on the brink of failure as are many of the daily newspapers through the country. We used to be able to support two papers, The Star, and The Tribune. At some point, readership could only support one paper, so the two merged into the Star Tribune, and is nicknamed The Strib.
