A Troma Flick with Faye Dunaway? Inconceivable!
So I pop in the latest disc from Netflix and groan as the Troma trailer starts. I like the idea of Troma… “films” but I finally pulled the rest out of my queue (or thought I had) after going through schlock overload. Checking out the info on the netflix site, I noticed Faye Dunaway wound up in this somehow. Wow, from respected artist to a flick released by the studio that brought the world The Toxic Avenger. Ouch.
In Faye’s defense, it looks like The Seduction of Dr. Fugazi was created independently from Troma studios and just distributed by the home of Sgt. Kabuki. Also, Faye was never all that great, so the fall may not be all that far.
